Route Timer app for iPhone and iPad

Route Timer is a simple app with an elegant interface that times your route and saves the time with a trace of your route on a map view.

Simply press Start Route to begin tracking and Stop Route once you wish to stop the timer.

The Route and Time will be saved together in an editable list, and you can title each route as you like.


**New: A slider under Route Detail View , so you can now trace back and forth through your routes, down to the second!

This will let you pinpoint where delays occurred, and for how long, as well as seeing how long each segment of your route took, without having to Start and Stop separate, smaller routes.

Find out if taking those back streets to avoid the lights really does save you any time. Or finally find out for yourself if it really is faster to take that shortcut off the highway into town.

You could use the clock in your car and write down all the times, but isnt it so much nicer using your shiny, beautiful phone for these things?

Note: iOS 5.0 or higher is needed to use this app

NOTE: This app will continue to run in the background if it is in the process of timing a route. Please enable notifications (in device Settings>Notifications) to allow reminders to be displayed every 30 min when timing a route in the background.
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
